Angel’s World

My name is Angel Garrido. I was born in 1953 in New York City. My father was a watchmaker from Spain, my mother a housewife from Camaguey, Cuba. I moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1957. It is here I learned to love the Cleveland Indians and Browns.

In 1964 our family moved to Los Angeles, California. I graduated from Mayfair High School in 1971. I worked at Disneyland as a sweeper and played football (3rd string QB) at Long Beach State.

I married my first wife and had three daughters. From them I now have 5 grandchildren.

I entered the Army in 1972 and served in the 502nd Military Intelligence Co., 2nd Armored Division as an Image Interpreter (spy plane pictures). After the service, I graduated from Loma Linda University in 1979 with a Biology major.

In 1984, I started my career in the airline industry for American Airlines as a flight attendant. I have visited every major city in the U.S. and 31 countries. I have met movie celebrities, musicians and pro athletes. I also met 2 American Presidents.

In 2013, I remarried and moved to Laguna Niguel, California.
